It seems as if fate ensures that our paths keep crossing. From a meeting on the beach in Ibiza to a nighttime encounter during a 100km walk in the heart of Belgium, and, of course, a vernissage. Every encounter with Hilde is a source of inspiration and admiration.
Hilde is a multifaceted artist with an impressive career as an architect behind her. Her eye for detail and her passion for form, color, and space are evident in her work. She has continued to expand her creative horizon by taking courses at the Academy of Fine Arts and ultimately earning her bachelor's degree in Painting at PXL-MAD.
Although Hilde primarily paints, she doesn’t limit herself to a single medium. She also creates stunning murals and intriguing collages, each piece infused with her unique vision and artistic flair.
Her drive and enthusiasm for her creative development are both admirable and infectious. Every time our paths cross, I find myself continually inspired by her dedication and the ongoing evolution of her art. Her works echo elements of Fauvism, bursting with vibrant color and a personal approach to form and perspective. They transport you to the worlds of Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, and Willem de Kooning.
